Warren Carter Lecture

Warren Carter will be delivering a paper on his research entitled 'Politics and Ideology in Ben Shahn's Security Department Murals'. This lecture is part of the University of London series 'Marxism and the Interpretation of Culture' for the Institute of Historical Research at Senate House, which he co-ordinates. The lecture builds on his research on federally funded art during the American Depression. In addition to presenting papers on his recent research at the College Art Association, he has published on twentieth century American art in the ‘Oxford Art Journal’. On Richmond's MA in Art History, he teaches the course,ARH 611 Twentieth Century Modernisms', and he is also the University Slide Librarian at University College London.
