The Green Project Helps to Clean Up the Wandle River

On Sunday, 8 March, nine members of Richmond's Green Project lent their support to the Wandle River Trust during their monthly clean-up activities. Together with over 40 other volunteers from around the area the students were able to remove loads of rubbish from the Wandle including a few shopping trolleys, three mattresses, two bicycles, a baby stroller and dozens of bags of household waste. The Green Project sponsors a group of student each month to attend the clean-ups providing lunch and money for transportation. If you are interested in helping out please contact Perry Stamp or Dr. Wayne Clark. The next clean-up is scheduled for 12 April.
