The Swedish School in London Takes-Up Residence At Richmond

Richmond, the American International University in London is delighted to announce the signing of a new partnership with the Swedish School in London. The partnership will allow the Swedish gymnasium to relocate to the grounds of Richmond Hill Campus.
The gymnasium will relocate to Richmond Hill Campus in July 2009.
The relationship will provide the Swedish school with a new home for the more than 90 Swedish students living and studying in the UK. The University will provide the ideal academic setting for pre-university students to complete their Swedish secondary diploma. “We feel the relationship with the Swedish School in London is in keeping with the rich tradition the University has in bringing the world together through education” commented Dr. Ian Newbould, president of Richmond.
The Swedish School in London (Swed.: Svenska Skolan i London) was founded in 1907 in Harcourt Street, central London, and relocated to Barnes in 1976. It is divided in two parts: the nursery and primary school (Swedish: förskolan och grundskolan, which caters for pupils up to 16) is located in its own premises near St Paul's School, in Barnes and the gymnasium (“gymnasiet”, for 16-18 year olds) is currently located in Twickenham, and in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Richmond, The American International University in London is an independent, not-for-profit, international, liberal arts and professional studies university established in 1972. (The original Richmond College, was founded in 1843 it was a constituent institution of the University of London until the founding of the present University in 1972.)
Richmond is accredited both in the United States and in the United Kingdom.
