Students Visit the Tate Modern and Tate Britian Museums

Students from Dr. Judith Carmel-Arthur's ENG 115 course, Principles of Academic Writing, visited both the Tate Britain and the Tate Modern recently in order to engage their imaginations and brainstorm for an essay assignment due at the end of term.

They saw the current blockbuster exhibitions on the British painter, Francis Bacon, and on the American painter, Mark Rothko, considering how questions raised by both exhibitions contribute to our understanding of issues of 'national heritage' in UK museums.
