Art, Design & Media Students visit leading Design company

Art, Design & Media students visiting the Jerwood Space

Students from some of the Art, Design & Media courses recently visited design company Pirata-London. Mr. Vishal Shah, MA RCA, writes that the trip was insightful as it showed the real world application of what they have been learning in the classroom. The Creative Director and Marketing Director spent about three hours showing the students around explaining projects in depth from its many different angles IE. concept development, the pitch work, creative design: including design and animation, technical developments, coding / programming and implementation of the projects, including project management and client side projects such as their Mclaren F1 website to Toblerone and many more.

The Creative and Marketing Directors also gave the students suggestions and recommendations on how to go about finding work post graduation by referencing what Pirata-London look for in someone they are hiring.

To conclude the field trip the students also went to Tate Modern and the Jerwood Space to have a sneak peak at what was on exhibit.
