Students Visit Chelsea Stadium

With Orientation week coming to a close a large group of Study Abroad students got up early – particularly so as it was the morning after the Welcome Party the night before – to go on a private guided tour of our local premiership football team – Chelsea F.C.

The Group – some of whom are Chelsea supporters and some who admitted to be Manchester United supporters, but were nevertheless still allowed inside the ground - were shown the Stadium seeing the press room, Home and Away dressing rooms, the tunnel onto the pitch, the pitch itself and finally the Club Museum. The 1½ hour tour was expertly guided by a volunteer season-ticket holder, who has had a Chelsea season-ticket since 1956!

The students could, in the Press Centre, sit in the seats where Frank Lampard, John Terry, David Beckham and the ‘Special One’, José Mourinho, gave their post-match comments to the press.

A great morning was spent at Chelsea and now it’s time to study.
