Richmond Students Enjoyed the Sun and Sightseeing of a Nile Cruise

Richmond Students Riding Camels through Nubian Village

Eighteen Richmond students and two staff members travelled to Egypt over Spring Break for a week long Nile Cruise. Starting in Luxor, the ship made stops along the River as they headed to Aswan as the final destination before heading back to Luxor. Just a few of the fascinating sites that the students were able to see included the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut's Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Edfu, Temple of Karnak, and much more. The trip was a perfect combination of cultural activities along with time to relax on the sundeck of the boat while watching rural life along the River. For many this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to northern Africa. A special thanks goes out to Student Affairs for organizing another successful educational trip for Richmond students!
