Students Spend Spring Break in Iceland
11/03/2011

Reykjavik, Iceland
Over the past week, eleven Richmond students braved the cold to spend a week in Iceland for their spring break. Some popular excursions were the Blue Lagoon Hot Springs, where students relaxed in the warmth of the geothermal springs and indulged in massages and silica mud masks. The students also went on the Golden Circle Tour, during which they spent the day seeing some of the most breathtaking sites in Iceland including stunning landscapes, waterfalls and geysers. Another popular tour, the Northern Lights Tour, consisted of a night hunting down the elusive Aurora Borealis. Other more adventurous students went horseback riding, glacier-climbing, and took a tour of the infamous volcano, Eyjafjallajökull, which shut down European travel for a short period last year. All of the students had a great time in Reykjavik and would definitely love to go back!
