Students Learn of "An Inconvenient Truth"

On October 3, 2006, twenty-three members of Richmond University’s environmental society, The Green Project, attended a screening of Al Gore’s new film “An Inconvenient Truth” at the Odeon Cinema in Kingston. The purpose of this free event was to raise environmental awareness among Richmond students to motivate them into adopting more energy efficient lifestyles.
Former Vice President Al Gore, who, in the wake of defeat in the 2000 election, re-set the course of his life to focus on a last-ditch, all-out effort to help save the planet from irrevocable change, produced the film “An Inconvenient Truth.” This film offers a passionate and inspirational look at his fervent crusade to halt global warming's deadly progress in its tracks by exposing the myths and misconceptions that surround it.
