Students Enjoy Twickenham's 10th Beer and Cider Festival

Last weekend the newly formed Richmond Beer Brewing Society went on its first trip to the 10th Annual Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival. Over 70 British/American cask ales and 50 European/American bottled beers were served along with two dozen ciders during the three day event. Members of the club enjoyed their fine ales alongside a record breaking 3,150 other beer enthusiasts. Favourite beers among RBBS were the Old Ale by WJ King & Co., a very dark and smooth winter ale; the Jaipur IPA by Thornbridge, the winner of the Strong Bitter Category at the Great British Beer Festival this year; and the Struise Pannepot a 10.0% ABV dark ale, with a rich spicy/liquorice finish. For many of the Society’s members this was their first beer fest, but judging from the pictures, it will certainly not be their last.
