Star Trek Fans Take to the Big Screen

Richmond Graduates Go Where None Have Gone Before Post graduation this year, 21 Richmond students celebrated the end of term with a visit to London's IMAX to see the new Star Trek film.

They were accompanied by Drs. Michael Keating (International Relations) and Dom Alessio (Study Abroad/History).

After the film, the students applied Marxist and Postcolonial theory to the Federation universe, asking their professors if the Federation could be considered a Communist organisation since no one seemed to have any money.

Drs Keating and Alessio replied that it was only a film after all...
