‘The Kraftwerk-Effekt’: Electronic Music Networks and Cultural Globalization
The talk will examine the decline of the Anglo-American ‘hub’ of popular music and its replacement by a more cosmopolitan, trans-nationally networked scenario – which could perhaps be regarded as the avant-garde of a new variety of global cultural cosmopolitanism.
You Are All Welcome !
The seminars will be monthly alternating between Richmond (Lecture Hall 1, Library Building) and Kensington (Briggs 216, Asa Briggs Hall) campuses on a Thursday from 16:30-17:50. The next seminar will be in November in Kensington Campus.
You will be informed in good time of who will be the presenter and topic. The roster of other presenters will be rolled out next week.
Thank you
