Richmond Hill campus
It has been an eventful year for the University and the Alumni Relations department and as we look back on 2010, we also look forward to a new and exciting year to come!
Throughout 2010, a number of alumni reunions were organized in cities such as Tokyo (March), Osaka (March), London (June), Boston (October), New Delhi (November) and Istanbul (November) as well as other events such as the Richmond walkway ceremonies at the Hill campus, photographic exhibitions by Matthew Butterfield and Faculty Research events, amongst others.
We also said ‘goodbye’ to Deirdre Simpson who retired from the University after 31 years of dedicated service. A celebratory dinner was held in her honor on June 5, 2010 attended by a number of alumni, the President, Dr Newbould, senior staff and faculty.
As of January 2011, the Alumni Relations Office will move to the Richmond Hill campus and a new Director for Alumni Relations, Karen Lippoldt, will be arriving on January 4 – further details to follow.
The holiday season has a special way of reminding us of how fortunate we are to have strong family ties, good friends and fond memories of Richmond. Please keep in touch!
