Richmond International Society Hosts Russian/Georgian Conflict Lecture

On September 16th the Richmond International Society launched its program of events with an engaging lecture on the Georgian/Russian conflict. Over 50 students and staff attended the event which was chaired by Dr. Michael Keating. The panellists included Dr. Martin Brown, Dr. Chris White, and Jelena Pivovarova.
The topics of discussion ranged from a general historic overview of the region to an in-depth analysis of the international law implications. The lecture was followed by an exciting round of questions from the audience that saw passionate arguments made from all points of view.
