Richmond welcomes new Director of Alumni Relations

We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Director of Alumni Relations, Karen Lippoldt, with effect from January 4th 2011.

Born and raised in Germany, Karen has been living in the UK for seven years. Her interest in education is longstanding and multi-faceted. She earned an MA in American Studies and Communications from the University of Leipzig in Germany and then lived in the US for three years, two of which she spent studying at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, and one year participating in various student exchange and internship programs in the San Francisco Bay area.

Prior to joining Richmond, Karen worked at the Universities of Exeter and Bristol where she was Head of the Alumni Relations team in the process of building lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships with students, alumni and other friends and supporters of the university.

Of her appointment at Richmond Karen says, ‘I very much enjoy working with students and alumni and have never ceased to be impressed with their commitment to the university and to the larger society both in their private and professional lives’.
