Richmond Welcomes MA Art History Graduate Students
Dr. Robert Wallis, Director of the MA Art History was pleased to welcome the new Fall 2007 graduate class on Friday 1st September. Concluding a full day of Orientation activities, students celebrated their inception on the program with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at the Hill campus in Orchard House. The class was greeted by Chairman of the Board, Dr. Robert Brennan and University President, Dr. Jos Hackforth-Jones. As former Director of the Art History program, Hackforth-Jones commended the class for their commitment to engage this next year in serious research in the visual arts and for their demonstrated curiosity and interest in such an intercultural program. Special guest, Mark Kopenski, Vice President and Dean of Enrollment, remarked what an impressive group of students the incoming MA class are.
Following the reception, students enjoyed a tour of the Hill campus and Richmond town centre with a moonlit stroll along the river and dinner at a local riverside restaurant.
Many thanks go to Admissions staff & Annie Herring, Assistant to the President and Provost for all her hard work in making the evening a success.
