Amnesty International Attends Conference in Nottingham

On the first weekend of April, 6 students from Richmond's Amnesty International group went to the UK National Conference and Annual General Meeting at Nottingham University. They had a great time going to workshops on different issues, and hearing from speakers such as Sam Roddick, daughter of Anita Roddick and founder of the Body Shop and life long human rights activist. They also participated in the campaign action in solidarity with the Mothers of Tiananmen Square. They listened to policy debates and voted on issues regarding the future policy and direction of the organization.
