Richmond International Academic Soccer Academy Enrolls Inaugural Class 2010

Richmond, the American International University in London in partnership with The International Academic and Soccer Academy welcomed their first class to Leeds, UK and the Thomas Danby center, which is home to the academic program. RIASA, which the program is quickly becoming known, is in its first year and features top level soccer coupled with the Richmond International Business degree program. The program, a first of its kind in the United Kingdom and in the world, combines top level soccer, coaching, conditioning, nutrition, and professional soccer exposure with a full cohort undergraduate degree program from Richmond. The first class enrollment is at its capacity of 25 student athletes who have been playing competitively in several Yorkshire leagues for the past three weeks.
