Richmond History Professor presents at at the 20th Anniversary Women’s history Network Conference “Looking Back – Looking Forward”

Dom Alessio, Professor of History and Director of the Study Abroad program, presented a paper on tourism in Iceland entitled “Geysirs ansd ‘Girls’: Gender, Power & Colonialism in Icelandic Tourist Imagery”. The presentation was a version of a paper, co-written with former Richmond student Anna Lisa Johannsdottir, which was recently published in the European Journal of Women’s Studies, 18, 1 (2011), 35-50.
