Richmond Graduate Student Obtains Advanced Level Internship at Smithsonian

Richmond graduate student Jennifer Henneman was recently invited to join the Advanced Placement Internship Program at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC for the 2007 – 2008 scholastic year. The goal of this program is ‘to instill a comprehensive knowledge of museum operations’ in young professionals interested in museum careers. Thus, Jennifer will participate in a series of museum projects based on her interest in curating that will be supplemented by lectures given by museum professionals on topics such as administration, conservation, registration, and art history.
