Art Therapy Seminar Proves Beneficial for Psychology Club Members

Asa Briggs Art Studio
On Tuesday, March 4th, Richmond Alumnus, Arezoo Rezaei, held an Art Therapy Seminar for Richmond’s Psychology Club. Rezaei is nearing completion of a degree in Art Therapy and was invited back by the Club to share his knowledge.
“It was an interesting session in many ways…we spoke pictorially to people we may have just met, we expressed our thoughts and feelings towards the images created, we introduced different characters from our inner worlds who needed to come to surface in order to be introduced,” said Professor Izedi, advisor of the Psychology Club. “We carved out aspects of ourselves through a tree…we welcomed a unicorn, flowers, an elephant, sunshine, abstract images, distortion, many layers of the self, Peter Pan…and so much more…”.
The seminar was extremely beneficial to all in attendance. This is a great example of how graduates of Richmond continue to play a role in and enhance the community.
