Richmond Dominates MUN Conference in Brighton

Richmond Students Bag 7 Awards at Model UK Conference

This past weekend, Richmond's Model United Nations team showed several universities what Richmond students are capable of at the University of Sussex's Annual Model UN Conference. Eleven Richmond students traveled down to the beachfront of Brighton to participate in the highly organised simulation of the United Nations.
Participating M.U.N. members were Jackie Feldman representing Bolivia on the Human Rights Council, Andy Terrell representing the United States on Environmental Programme, Eziakonwa Chukwuemeka representing Niger in the African Union, Thomas Rusconi representing Sudan on the African Union, Maggie Migliozzi representing Libya on the African Union, Suna Park representing Libya on the African Union, Mark Sleboda representing the Russian Federation on the Environmental Programme, Shurouq Irani representing Jordan on the Human Rights Committee, Tim Wisniewski representing the United Kingdom on the Environmental Programme, Claire Helfrich representing Lesotho on the African Union, and Morgan Potts representing Switzerland on the Human Rights Committee.
Richmond's team won more awards than any other University present, ranging from multiple "Best Delegate" Awards to the "Conference Comedian" Award, amounting to seven awards in total.
Several other Model UN Conferences are scheduled for this semester, with considerations of traveling to conferences in Geneva and Vienna.
