Richmond Deans Give Paper at International Conference

Kopenski, Weddle Give Paper

Vice President and Dean of Enrollment Mark S. Kopenski and Assistant Dean Justin Weddle - RU 94 presented a paper on international education at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. The Overseas Association of College Admissions Counselors (OACAC) hosts an annual meeting and conference each summer with the goal of uniting international universities and international secondary schools for the benefit of young people around the world. Dean Kopenski, who is also chair of the American Colleges Overseas, spoke on American education outside the US and Assistant Dean Weddle provided insight into the transition from an international secondary school to an international university. "The tremendous exposure Richmond receives by being involved in international conferences such as OACAC is invaluable for moving the University forward," commented Dean Kopenski in his Richmond Hill Office. The vast majority of Richmond students come from international secondary schools around the world and conferences including OACAC attract hundreds of counselors who are highly influential to secondary students in the University admission process.
