Perry Stamp Promotes HIV/AIDS Awareness to Students in China

Perry in Beijing

After finishing his BA at Richmond in December 2008, Perry relocated to Beijing in order to work with a non-profit organization called Prevention Through Education. The group aims to reduce the infection rate of HIV/AIDS throughout China but particularly in the student community. It seems one of the biggest problems with HIV/AIDS in China is that more than 90% of infected persons are unaware that they are in fact infected. This lack of knowledge allows the disease to spread rapidly throughout communities and contributes to the global HIV epidemic.

As is the case with any non-profit, money is always hard to come by, particularly in a year of great economic hardship. If you are able to a small contribution to help Perry's work, you can do so on line.
