RIASA Squad 2010-2011

The RIASA squad will be getting ready to take on Premiership academy team Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday afternoon, April 12th. Football Director Mark Ellis sees this as a good opportunity for some of the boys to showcase their skills to the premiership coaches and scouts who will be at the game. Ellis stated, “The facility is excellent and I expect the RIASA players will be excited and ready to play in what are some of the best training facilities in the country”.

The RIASA squad is closing in on promotion in their league. In their last game league play they ran out a 4-2 win last week. Another win for the RIASA squad will guarantee them promotion. In addition Mark Ellis announced that the RIASA squad would play their last home game at Valley Parade the home of Bradford City FC on April 30th. Valley Parade is a former premiership league stadium. Ellis stated,” This will be provide a great way to end the league play for this year – it will provide a great experience for the players playing in a stadium that Bradford City FC play in and where teams such as Manchester Untied, Liverpool and Arsenal played in when Bradford where in the premiership – it is truly an great stadium and one they will remember playing in for the rest of their lives.
