RIASA students offered showcase opportunities

Opportunities for RIASA students at Hull and Bradford.
RIASA Freshmen Jae Yun Lee and Rico Wells attended Hull City FC for their developmental training on Tuesday Nov 22nd. Gonzalo Obando, had also been asked to train at Hull City FC but a recent injury sustained in training has meant that he will have to wait until a little later.
Coaching Director Mark Ellis said, “I know Obando was devastated that he could travel with Jae Yun and Rico to Hull today but I don’t want any of the academy players attending development sessions at professional clubs when they are not fully fit or quite ready."
Sophomore Christian Eissele played with a Bradford City squad against Stockport academy team after his impressive display against Bradford at the most recent showcase game on the RIASA campus when RIASA ran out 3-1 winner with Eissele scoring two goals.
Dave Baldwin said, “the coaching staff at Bradford were very impressed with Christian’s ability and movement and his knack for scoring goals – it will be another opportunity for the staff to see him play with their squad to see how he fits in.” Eissele has been with the RIASA academy after transferring from University of Central Florida after the fall semester of last year.
Tahj Bell has been asked to come into Bradford for an extended period of time to get a full assessment of his abilities. Baldwin added, "this is a massive opportunity for Tahj to see how he stacks up against the other professional goalkeepers on staff at Bradford. He has shown some potential and now he has an opportunity to showcase himself on a longer basis”.
