RIASA students get extended club trials

Opportunity for RIASA students at Thai Premier club, Muangthong United managed by former Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler.

Muangthong United, a Thailand Premier club, have offering trials to RIASA players Joey Spivack and Christian Eissele after seeing them in a recent showcase game. The call came after former Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool and Bradford City Player, Zeshan Rehman recommend the players to his manager, former Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler.

The word is obviously spreading in the professional network that RIASA is attracting some excellent talent from around the world, developing and preparing players for the next level; Coaching Director Mark Ellis said he was delighted for Joey and Christian, who also have a European trial opportunity with Brann in Norway in February.

Mark Ellis also confirmed that Manchester City FC youth academy, part of the world's richest club and presently top of the Barclays Premier league, will host the RIASA squad at their multi million pound training facility in the spring. Ellis indicted he was delighted that Scott Sellars, head of the MCFC Youth Academy offered the opportunity to the RIASA squad as it will provide a wonderful experience for the RIASA squad to play in such a fantastic training facility. Ellis said, “there is no doubt the RIASA players will be stepping into a big time facility with some major world class players on the same training site – it should provide an unforgettable experience for them”.

Mark Ellis also indicated further connections to Manchester City, as City’s Regional scout and co coordinator, Gavin Oliver, told the RIASA football director he will monitor closely the development of the RIASA squad players and provide opportunities for them to be noticed by European clubs that he is connected to through his work for MCFC.
