Professor Vassilis K. Fouskas is invited by the Politics Department of Goldsmiths College University of London to give a paper on his ongoing research on the crisis of the US grand strategy and the structural decline of the US empire-state. The title of the paper, delivered on 7 December 2011, is "The Tragedy of Globalisation and the Re-fashioning of Imperial Order". Professor Fouskas will give a bracing account of the argument he develops in his forthcoming book (co-authored with Professor Bulent Gokay of Keele University) The Fall of the US Empire; Global Fault-lines and the Shifting Imperial Order, to be published in March by Pluto Press (US publisher: Palgrave-Macmillan)
