Professor Sir Hans Singer Remembered

The Department of Business & Economics at Richmond is sorry to report the death of Professor Sir Hans W. Singer on Sunday 26th February 2006 in Brighton, England. Dr Dabir-Alai who had the pleasure of working with him over a period spanning almost 25 years regards him as an inspirational teacher and mentor. "What was so special about Hans Singer was his complete sense of total modesty and his ability to make you feel as though all of his energies were focused on your questions and concerns. Hans Singer was the pre-eminent development economist of his time who will be much missed for his wisdom, humors and friendship".
