Professor Cohen presents paper at the Université Charles de Gaulle

Les Rôles transfontaliers joués par les femmes dans la construction de l’espace Européen, de la Renaissance au XXe siècle
(Cross borders roles women played in the construction of the European space, from the Renaissance to the XXth century)

At a recent international conference at the Université Charles de Gaulle in Lille, France (16-18 June 2011), Richmond Professor, Michèle Cohen, presented a paper entitled,Rôles transfrontaliers intellectuels: l’influence de Mme de Genlis and Mme Leprince de Beaumont, éducatrices françaises, en Angleterre à la fin du 18ième siècle (Intellectual cross borders roles: the influence of Mme de Genlis and Mme Leprince de Beaumont, French educationists, in late eighteenth-century England).

The complete paper will be published at a later date in 'Proceedings of the Conference' by the French publisher, Harmattan.
