Prof. Alex Seago talks on ‘Hockney’s American Contemporaries’ at the Dulwich Picture Gallery

On Wednesday 16, November, Professor Alex Seago gave a talk on ‘Hockney’s American Contemporaries’ at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in South London.
Part of the gallery’s ‘Insight’ lecture series, Prof. Seago’s focused on the American art scene in the 1950s & early 1960s – and on the emerging Los Angeles art scene in particular.
David Hockney’s iconic ‘Mr & Mrs. Clark & Percy’ , the 1971 portrait of the fashion designer Ossie Clark and his then wife, the textile designer Celia Birtwell , is currently Masterpiece of the Month at the Dulwich Picture Gallery.
