President to speak at Stevenson/Crick Memorial Symposium

The Stevenson/Crick Memorial Symposium
Thursday, 6th October 2011 at 6.00pm
The President, Professor John Annette, has been invited to contribute at this year's Symposium which is being held in the Sir Charles Wilson Building at the University of Glasgow (corner of Gibson Street and University Avenue).
The Symposium forms the annual Stevenson/Crick Memorial event, given in honour of the late Professor Sir Bernard Crick, one of the foremost political theorists of the later twentieth century and an important contributor to bringing citizenship back to the centre of the political, civic and educational agenda.
The title of this year's symposium is:
“Active Citizenship & Young People Symposium”
Entry is free of charge and open to the general public.
Further lectures in this 2011-2012 series will look at what has been called the 'Big Society' and will explore what meaning, if any, this concept has for today's citizen.
