Student/Faculty Welcome Dinner

One of the highlights of the Orientation Week occurred on the 15th of January – the new student welcome dinner.

The dinner provides an opportunity for the new students to converse with some of the faculty that will be teaching them in the classroom.

After a short welcome speech by Dr Newbould and the introduction of the senior faculty and other members of the Richmond Community the students, senior faculty and student affairs staff were served an excellent three-course meal, with wine.

The catering service creates a special menu for each welcome dinner and this semester the menu was exceptional.

The food was all cooked and served by the normal catering team, although this year there was also assistance from an executive chef from the University’s external caterers.

The dinner was hosted by the President, Dr Ian Newbould, and his senior staff.

All the staff, faculty and continuing students that make up the Richmond community welcome their new colleagues and wish them all the best in their Richmond experience.
