President Hackforth-Jones Welcomes Abu Dhabi Alumni

Richmond President, Dr. Hackforth-Jones and Board Memeber Mr. Sami Suleiman Welcome Alumni To Oceans, Abu Dhabi

President Hackforth-Jones made her inaugural trip to the United Arab Emeritus to meet educators, business leaders and government officials including His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. The UAE has been a very import part of the Richmond family for more than three decades with scores of students attending Richmond over the years. There are more than 170 alumni living and working in the UAE and the Emeritus is expected to be one of the top countries in the world for new admission recruits this September. Dr. Hackforth-Jones was hosted by Board Member and local Abu Dhabi resident Mr. Sami Sulieman who is a leading industrialist in the UAE. Dr. Hackforth-Jones visit was covered extensively in both Arabic and English news papers. Richmond Vice President and Dean Mark S. Kopenski, who has been to the region numerous times, commented that having the president in-country in the UAE will intensify the efforts here greatly and quite possibly, lead to even greater opportunities in the not so distant future.
