New Student Enrollments Show Healthy Growth in 2010

New student enrollments for Fall 2010 have increased over 2009 totals. The Richmond enrollment office reported today that undergraduate degree-seeking students were at 246 vs 183, an increase of 34.4% against the same period last year. The enrollment office also reported that new programs introduced in 2010 have all had a successful kick-off and have greatly improved the new student bottom line. The new Football Academy in Leeds is at capacity with 25 International Business students; the new major in International Journalism and Media has welcomed 8 new students; the partnership with Western New England College in the USA has 13 students enrolled at the Hill campus and the new Masters in International Relations has 13 students in its first cohort. New students represent over 70 different countries and territories and also 24 of the 50 US states. The gender balance of new students is close to 50/50 this Fall and nearly all academic areas offered at Richmond have had an increase in student enrollment.
