80 Nations Descend On Richmond Hill

2006 Entering Class

More than eighty nations arrived on campus last week to begin their university studies at Richmond. The 2006 entering class is academically talented and represents more than 40% of all the nations in the world. Many of the new students have achieved exceptional academic merit in their home nations scoring high on national exams, winning prestigious awards from such organizations as the International Baccalaureate Organization and exhibiting outstanding leadership ability outside the class room. "We continue to work on seeking the most academically qualified students throughout the world who are motivated by the idea of studying in our unique globally focused academic environment" said Mark S. Kopenski, Dean of Enrollment, during a resent interview in his London Office. The Richmond admissions staff will travel to more than 30 nations this fall and will be in touch with more than 2,000 secondary schools from some 180 nations in hope to expand the Universities reach. Richmond's desire is to become a larger, more highly selective University that seeks to enroll students who
understand the value of studying in an international environment.
