New Director of Alumni Relations

My name is Karen Lippoldt and I am not exaggerating when I say that I feel very privileged and excited about joining the Richmond community.

Born and raised in Germany, I have been living in the UK for seven years. My interest in education is longstanding and multi-faceted. I earned my MA in American Studies and Communications from the University of Leipzig in Germany. I lived in the US for three years, two of which studying at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, and one year participating in various student exchange and internship programs in the San Francisco Bay area.

Prior to joining Richmond, I worked at the Universities of Exeter and Bristol where I headed the Alumni Relations team in the process of building lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships with students, alumni and other friends and supporters of the university.

I very much enjoy working with students and alumni and have never ceased to be impressed with their commitment to the university and to the larger society both in their private and professional lives.

I look forward to hearing from you and to meeting many of you. If you are planning to organize activities with and for other Richmond alumni, please do let me know as I may be able to support you.
