Lectures at Richmond, a new lecture program put on by the Student Union, kicked off to a great start this month with 60+ people attending the two lectures offered. The first, by Dr. James D. Boys, focused on the future of American foreign policy. Dr. Michael Keating gave the second lecture, discussing the future of energy according to Shell's scenarios for 2050. Students found the lectures both engaging and interesting; one student went so far as to describe how she "learned more in an hour than I thought possible."
The lecture series is still going strong; October's theme will be Economics and Business. Further info to be posted soon. For questions on lectures, or on how to participate in the lecture program, please contact Jade Bouhmouch at jade.bouhmouch@students.richmond.ac.uk
