Richmond Alumna- Amirah Bowes
On Monday 15 November, 2010 Richmond alumna, Amirah Emily Bowes, delivered a lecture on fundamental analysis. She is currently working for Ernst & Young as an Executive in Financial Accounting Advisory Services.
Bowes prepared a workshop about valuation models of non-quoted companies. Those in attendance used different discounted cash flow techniques as well as relative valuation techniques in order to estimate the spot share price of Harrods and Selfridges. The second part of the lecture consisted of Amirah sharing her experiences at Ernst & Young and she provided advice for carreer prospects at different sectors in the financial services industry.
The Finance Society would like to thank Dr. Ivan K. Cohen for organizing the event and Amirah Bowes for taking the time and effort to contribute to the formation of Richmond’s finest business and finance students.
