Internship China Open Evening this Thursday 22nd September, 6.30 p.m.
19/09/2011
The Internship office is organising a China open evening this Thursday 22nd September at 6.30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at 17 Young Street Kensington. Students, staff, and faculty will have the opportunity to come along and find out more about the China internship programme, and also to learn about some of our prevous student's experiences of their time living and working in China over the summer.
The programme is currently offered in both Beijing and Shanghai, and placements can be found relating to a range of student majors. The programme carries 3 academic credits, and as well as the work placement itself, is also assessed by means of a daily journal which is submitted weekly for marking, and also through a final report.
Richmond work in partnership with CRCC China, who help find placements for the students as well as organise accomodation and visas. CRCC will also be there on the evening to answer any questions that you may have.
If you can't make it to the open evening but are still interested in finding out more, then please pop in and speak with Debbie or Sarah in the internship office at 16 Young Street. We hope to see you all there!

Please read this recent testimonial from one of our Summer Richmond China interns:
Mia Bella Josimovic, Finance Intern at ACN Worldwide in Shanghai, China. Summer 2011.
'I was very fortunate to be interning for ACN Worldwide. Not only did they offer me a position in Shanghai several times, but since I told them I need to go back to London, they have decided to create a job for me in London. In my last week with the company, I was able to create and present an investment package. Once bought, I will be in charge of managing the property. My boss has also recommended me to several other real estate companies in London so I can have a full time job while the ACN property management career grows into a full time job. I have estimated that I will be able to manage approximately 100 properties without help, while also having a full time job. Once I exceed this number, and I hope that it happens soon, I will be able to hire someone else in London to help me, like an assistant, or make ACN my fulltime job. I have also learned of many other investment opportunities regarding real estate, which I am hoping with my two jobs I will be able to save money to then invest myself. At least, that is the life plan for now.'
