This semester marked the beginning of the new MA in IR program with thirteen students making up the inaugural class. Six weeks into the program, plenty has happened that may be worth reflecting upon. Thus far, students have had:

1. Seminar talk by Lutz Peter-Berg, Swiss Embassy
2. Seminar talk by Christoph Wyld, Director Foreign Press Association
3. Seminar talk by Cathey Leitch, author
4. Seminar talk by Alon Ben-David, Israeli news broadcaster and journalist
5. Guest lecture by Alexander Cudsi, Greek academic
6. Guest lecture by Einat Wilf, Israeli Knesset member
7. Visit to and talk at the Houses of Parliament
8. Visit to and talk at Swiss Embassy
9. Opportunity to attend Simon Schama lecture at LSE
10. Opportunity to attend Anthony Seldom lecture at LSE

In the coming six weeks in the lead up to Christmas, the following events are also planned:

13. Seminar talk by Professor Robert Singh, Birkbeck College

17. Opportunity to attend Jonathon Powell lecture at LSE

19. Start of Thursday afternoon current affairs discussion panel

This has been an exciting and busy six weeks which all adds up to a great start for the new MA IR program!
