International Night Raises £1000 for Invisible Children

Richmond University held its annual ‘International Night 2009’ on 4th April--an event that brought the international student population together to learn about different cultures. The students put together a superb show with dances and singing from Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. With a 300 strong audience the atmosphere was fantastic, encouraged by our two MCs introducing the acts.

Half the ticket money and a handful of collection buckets that were dotted around raised an incredible £1000 for Invisible Children. This money will help raise awareness about child soldiering in Northern Uganda and going towards improving education and living conditions for children affected by this.
