Green Project Cleans Up Wandle River
17/10/2007
On the 14th of October, Dr. Wayne Clark led members of The Green Project on a trip to Earlsfield to participate in a river clean-up sponsored by the Wandle River Trust. This event gave students the opportunity to give something back to the community as well as to have a little fun! In total they removed 22 shopping trolleys, at least 10 bicycles, 1 motorcycle, 2 concrete lined safes, several car tyres, a tractor tyre, a concrete mixer, a heavy duty drainage pipe, a dinner table and a whole lot of rubbish!
The next river clean up will take place on the 11th of November. Please contact Perry Stamp (M009305@richmond.ac.uk) for more details.
