First Year Seminar, FYS 110: Bond and Beyond: A Cultural and Political History of a 'Bondian' World, 1953 to the Present

Students taking the 'Bond and Beyond' course with Dr Martin D. Brown recently attended the première of the 22nd Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' held in London's Leicester Square and witnessed the Bond promotional juggernaut at close quarters. In addition to the cast and various celebrities, Princes William and Harry attended the screening. The Bond franchise is the longest running, and most profitable, series of films in cinema history. The most recent film has so far made $317m (£211m) worldwide.

On Monday 3 November, Dr Brown and his class, with the generous financial support from Student Services, viewed a screening of 'Quantum of Solace', again in Leicester Square, as part of their research into a 'Bondian' world.
