English 115 Visits Pop Life Exhibition at Tate Modern

16/12/2009

Dr. Carmel Arthur's English 115 students travelled to the Tate Modern museum to see the Pop Life exhibition as part of their third essay assignment in their course. They were to decide whether or not they were looking at art or international heritage. The students chose two objects to compare and contrast in their short descriptive and analytic essay.

"A trip to the Tate Modern's exhibit, 'Pop Life', was an exciting twist on regular coursework nearing finals. The Pop Life exhibit at the Tate modern housed famous works of art from world renowned artists both past and present. The likes of Warhol, Hirst and Murakami filled the different rooms with exceptional pieces of modern and popular culture art. The mandatory assignment was an exciting assignment that took our minds off studying during exam preparation and it also counted as credit! I recommend everyone to visit the exhibit!"

This is another example of Richmond faculty using London as their classroom!
