Economics alumni works and publishes with the BEA in Washington D.C.

Richmond's Economics faculty are very pleased to report news from one of their recent alumni. Jessica Melton Hanson graduated from Richmond in May 2002 with a BA degree in Economics. She subsequently returned to her native United States and earned an MA in Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans.

Soon after this, Jessica started to work for the US Bureau for Economic Affairs in Washington, D.C. and has been there ever since. Jessica mentions that her work at the BEA provides her with many challenges and opportunities. Just recently, for example, she co-authored a report for one of the BEA's flagship publications on the US's international transactions.
