East End Galleries Tour

06/09/2011

MA Art History and Visual Culture students, during their first week of classes, will visit the hub of London's gallery scene in the East End on Friday. Students will be led by Associate Professor Charlotte Bonham-Carter (MA Contemporary Curating, Royal College of Art). Charlotte joined Richmond this month, having held curatorial positions at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, Barbican Art Gallery, London and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.

In the evening, the group will attend the opening of 'Beautiful Life: Memory and Nostalgia' at the South Hill Park Arts Centre where Adjunct Associate Professor Dr Outi Remes, also new faculty on the MA, is Head of Exhibitions. Outi holds a PhD from the University of Reading and is a committee member of the Museums & Exhibitions Group, the Association of Art Historians.
