Dress For Success - Managing your appearance as a professional

Part 1 of the "Welcome to the Real Word" Seminar Series

Friday 29th Feb Asa Briggs 216 2-4pm

In this seminar, a corporate image consultant will explain why smart, well-groomed appearance is so important to your (prospective) employers, your career and general relationships with colleagues and customers. She will also help you understand the areas that you personally need to improve to meet these expectations, as well as produce an action plan for improving your appearance and wardrobe.

This session will cover:

- Grooming: Recognising bad grooming and what makes you stand out
- Colour: How colour influences people and can affect your mood
- Style Session: What shapes and colours suit different body types
- Wardrobe Planning: How to build a workable, wearable wardrobe (on a budget)
- Accessories: Selecting appropriate accessories
- Definitions of different types of dressing: smart/casual, business casual, business etc.

All students, interns as well as interested staff and faculty are welcome to attend.
