Dr Schultz delivers paper at Queens University Belfast

Dr Deborah Schultz was invited to participate in a workshop on Migrant art, artefacts and emotional agency at Queens University Belfast, 10 February 2007, organised by anthropologist Maruska Svasek as part of a larger AHRC funded project on Migration: emotions and human mobility. The workshop brought together art historians, anthropologists and artists to discuss issues of art, artefacts, migration and emotional dynamics. Deborah’s paper, on ‘Migration, Memory and Analysis of the Holocaust’, addressed issues concerning the transitory nature of art objects and the emotional agency they carry. The conference proceedings will be published as a book in 2008.
