Dr Robert J. Wallis elected as Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London

Dr Robert J. Wallis, Director of the MA in Art History and Associate Professor of Visual Culture has been elected as a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London. Dr Wallis was elected in recognition of 'major contributions to the study of shamans and animism in indigenous and prehistoric art' and is now entitled to use the letters FSA. The Society of Antiquaries is London's oldest learned society and Dr Wallis co-organised a conference,'Antiquaries and Archaists: The Past in the Past, the Past in the Present' at the Society in its tercentenary year, 2007, the results of which were published by Spire Press in 2009.
